CRRNT is a concert series dedicated to contemporary and experimental music. The eleventh installment of the series, held on the 18th of December, 7 pm, will feature a newly-formed quintet: “Aurelijus Užameckis Axiom”. The ensemble will perform A. Užameckis’s compositions, which, while improvising, will become the joint compositions of the entire group. During the concert this will be transformed into a single matter, which the audience is also invited to become part of.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
Austėja Žvirblytė is a singer, instrumentalist, composer and a performer of musical improvisation from Kaunas, currently based in Vilnius. Her main area of expertise is jazz improvisation, however, she is no stranger to other styles of music as well. In 2015, after leaving for a study exchange to Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen (Netherlands), she stayed on and graduated from the Jazz Bachelor study programme. She is an active performer of original and, of course, jazz music, also – world, funk, fusion in the Netherlands and Greece. A. Žvirblytė has visited most of Europe and New York with her projects. At the moment Austėja is developing a new musical project, and, perhaps, her first album as well.
Kazimieras Jušinskas is an active saxophonist who plays in various projects such as “Brave Noises”, “Džiazlaif“, “The Septet“, and saxophone quartet “Katarsis4”. The musician, who plays on soprano and alto saxophones has also participated in “Vilnius Mama Jazz”, “Kaunas Jazz”, and “Peronas Jazz” jazz music festivals. After graduating from Vilnius Juozas Tallat-Kelpša Conservatoire K. Jušinskas entered the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre where he is successfully continuing his studies.
Aurelijus Užameckis is a double bass player, composer and a performer of jazz and musical improvisation. He studied classical music and jazz, played with orchestras, was the laureate of local contests. Aurelijus independently taught himself creation and performance of electronic and non-academic music genres. He also participated in masterclasses conducted by Miloslav Jelínek, Frank Gratkowski, Adam Pultz Melbye, Raymond Strid and others. In “Agata Langai”, a course for improvisation, he studied with Arnas Mikalkėnas. Won the Grand Prix in “Vilnius Jazz Young Power” contest, with the band “Džiazlaif”. In the same contest, he was awarded the prize for best original composition and universal double bass expression. Currently, the musician actively participates in jazz, improvisational music, and other scenes, plays and creates with the most prominent musicians of the country, collaborates with theatre and other art disciplines while also studying at the Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen (Denmark).
Domantas Razmus graduated from the Children and Youth Music School in Pasvalys. Later he started playing the drums independently and entered the Jazz Performing Arts program at LMTA. He has appeared in various local and international jazz festivals and competitions and works actively as a session musician. He is currently studying in the Contemporary Music MA program at LMTA.
Danielius Pancerovas began to be interested in jazz music at Klaipėda Stasys Šimkus Conservatoire, where he has accumulated knowledge on his own, because the jazz school was absent in the Conservatory. Later he performed at “Klaipeda Castle Jazz Festival“ with the Klaipėda Jazz Orchestra and the band“ „Funk in“ and at “Kaunas Jazz“ and “Vilnius Mama Jazz“ with the big band of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Currently, the saxophonist is a member of the band “Katarsis4“, “The Septet“, participates in various art projects in Lithuania and abroad.
