Kaunas Artists’ House is pleased to invite you to a research showing of “Limitation Piece” by choreographers Grėtė Šmitaitė (Germany/Lithuania) and Hanna Kritten Tangsoo (Germany/Estonia), which is going to take place on the 23rd of February from 7 to 9 pm.
Throughout the months of January and February, both choreographers, and graduates of the Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz Berlin, had a 3-week residency in which they have already been developing the research and methodological part of the upcoming performance “Limitation Piece”.
“We started this work from 11 people dancing and sharing energy. We work with dance as communication between dancing bodies, as well as between the audience and the dancers. In the research showing at Kaunas Artists House, working with 5 local dancers we want to work with a narrative which involves unexpectancy in the context of a belief, a desire. There is interest in joy and energy. ” says Hanna Kritten and Grėtė.
