CELEBRATE THE RIVER! 2024
On 25th May 2024, the event "Let's Celebrate the River!" will take place for the 5th time. We will paddle kayaks, canoes, boats, and rafts on the Nemunas River in Kaunas, with artistic, creative, sporting, and community activities on the riverside - cultural islands.
"Let's Celebrate the River!" is open to everyone who loves rivers and unexpected surprises. Cultural and creative experiences on the banks are free. Take a canoe to paddle down the river, come by bike, or visit the cultural stops on foot.

"Let's Celebrate the River!" - is a community-based initiative born during the "Kaunas - European Capital of Culture 2022" project, which aims to encourage the opening of rivers (their waters and banks) for cultural events, community encounters, and the creation of new artistic expressions.
The "Let's Celebrate the River!" event is part of Kaunas' birthday programme.
