Obscene West. Naglis | One night stand
The tightness of moving bodies. Everything here is temporary and strange. As if this is not a place you've been before. Twilight and flashes transform the space, only fragments remain. Without prejudices, without attitudes, without barriers, we all dance under the rain of love.
On 14 October at 9 pm, we invite you to a one-night adventure at Kaunas Artists' House. On the occasion of closing the project "Obscene West. Naglis”, we are gathering to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Lithuania and invite the LGBTQ+ community and their friends to meet at the Kaunas Artists' House, which will become a queer club for one night.
Maybe for some, it will seem like a lightweight one-night stand that won't last long in their memory. For others, it will become a collective manifestation of the self in an institutional/public space. For others, it will be a chance to meet and feel safer and freer than anywhere else in the city. Whether 30 years ago or in 2021 when we marched in the first LGBTQ+ march in Kaunas, or now let’s remind (to ourselves) WE ARE EVERYWHERE.
