Have you ever moved with the impulses of your heart? Have you dared to speak to your heart and hear its response? To move your heart is to let yourself feel! Letting yourself feel and letting the sensations of your body unfold in a variety of colours and qualities of movement. The heart is one of the most important organs in the body, which not only sustains life in the body, but also allows us to feel a sense of togetherness and wholeness with ourselves and others. The workshop will consist of three parts. In the first part, participants will be invited to experience the heart from the inside: its shape, weight, colour, rhythm, sounds and the images that arise from its movement. In the second part, a performative process will be created through the methods of performative art practices. In the third part, participants will decide on the public performance of the performative act and finally discuss the workshop experience.

Kaunas Artists' House invites you to a scanning workshop with young artist Armanda Klimaviččiūtė. Scanography (also known as scanning photography) is a creative way of depicting the world around us using a scanning machine, which is still rare in Lithuania. During the workshop, live and dried plants are most often used, but other objects in the environment can also be included. Scanning hands and faces is also not avoided. The workshop is completely unfettered, so it is up to the imagination and willingness to experiment of each participant.
16.30. Sensory performance "Anykščių šilelis" (KAH hall, V. Putvinskis str. 56) by the troupe "Teatrariumas" based on the work of A. Baranauskas
How often do you close your eyes in the forest? And if you do, do you smell the scent of an anthill? Do you feel how soft the moss beds are? Can you hear the fortune teller whispering in the sacred language of the trees? How often does the whole forest wake up when you close your eyes and tell you about yourself together with all the creatures, plants, people and spirits? It is in this way - with eyes closed, but other senses heightened - that the old story of Anykščiai Silo comes to life. The audience of the performance becomes its participants, who are taken on a journey, not only to hear, but also to live the forest drama described by Antanas Baranauskas in 1861.

Sculpture Square:
12.00-17.00 "Not to press, but to beat" Invitation by Dominykas Andriuškevičius to create with typewriters (pavement at the Sculpture Square, V. Putvinskis str. 60) | No registration required
"Not to press, but to beat" - this is how writing is done with the typewriter, a relic of a bygone era and a tool that is one of the examples of the evolution of writing. To type with keys is to open up, but also to be determined, because every button and every letter must be beaten with certainty (of course), otherwise you can make a mistake and start all over again. After the immersive-immersive experience of the Putvinskis Street soundscape, you will be able to get to grips with the principles of the typewriter and write a collaborative Putvinskis Street Day piece that will survive in this format.
12.00-17.30 Installation/workshop "Flags" by Julija Pociute (pavement in front of the Sculpture Square, V. Putvinskis str. 60) | No registration required
Flags is a work made of white flags with the word "Peace" written in different languages. This work was exhibited last summer at the exhibition "No Mans's Land" at the Toruń Centre for Contemporary Art. On the day of the event, visitors will be invited to sit quietly and concentrate on the repetitive writing of the word "peace" on the flags. These flags would then be strung on a rope and hung in the space. The works Prayer Flags and Map question today's situation, moving from the ongoing ecological challenges facing humanity today to the subject of war. This state of warfare has increased national security budgets around the world, while reducing the contribution to solving ecological problems.
15.00-17.30 Putvinskis rap with Greta Štiormer (Sculpture Square, 60 V. Putvinskis St.) | Limited to 15 participants. | Registration: here
Putvinskis Street is one of the oldest streets in Kaunas, with a history dating back to the 16th century. Over the centuries, it has been home to a wide range of people and communities, including artists, intellectuals, workers and people who have shattered many a social stereotype during their existence. What were their stories? How did Putvinskis Street become such a strong cultural space? What do the buildings on Putvinskis Street say?One of the most important things in writing is to find a good story. In the Putvinskis Rap Workshop, we will not only find and create stories that are in the air of the street, but we will also put them into one of the strongest and most street-appropriate forms - rap lyrics. Rap works when it is authentic and true to its experiences and emotions. Rap works when it belongs to the street. Putvinskis's rap, our rap, is an ode to our street - what story will you make? During the workshop we will search for words for Putvinski's street - we will write texts, create and discuss. Afterwards, we will give the rap back to the street.
In the garden of the Devils Museum:
12.00-18.00 Presentation of the artist duo allsofeatherlightseven's work "Skafandras" (Devil Museum Garden, V. Putvinskis str. 64)
Lingering Sun / Got them all? / Tylene wasp / The faded plant band / The standing feather / The guests ( and their sledges ) / The standing feather / The snow that was crackling in the morning / The devil's pot ( can it be otherwise? ) / Hair rings / A stunning (dreamy bouquet) - SKAFANDRAS
12.00-18.00 Eglė Marcinkevičiūtė's work ,,Loves - Loves not? Blooming - not blooming?" presentation (Devil Museum Garden, V. Putvinskis str. 64)
The installation is dedicated to a synthetic chain form imitating plant structures, suggesting the close interconnection between man-made industry and the processes taking place in nature. Life-supporting wires and tubes are connected to the "plants", becoming references to symbiotic transformations of interspecies cooperation and energy sharing. A dominant system is created, one that does not respect the democratic principles of objects and that mimics the ownership of energy.
13.00, 14.00, 15.00 (duration up to 15 minutes) Gabrielė Vetkinaitė's performance "Messages" (Devil Museum Garden, V. Putvinskis str. 64)
Until the 1st of June Gabrielė Vetkinaitė's exhibition "Songs about Myself" is taking place at Kaunas Artists' House Gallery. In it, the artist presents a collection of tools used in her performances - children's video and audio recording equipment and a collection of handmade books come together in a pink whole. During the Putvinskis Street Day Gabrielė Vetkinaitė will fill the space with meditative singing. The lyrics of the song "Messages" are based on the book "Ronja, the Robber's Daughter" by A. Lindgren.
