Belly-up Dream (Dog or Fish?) | Workshop with Daina Pupkevičiūtė
On 18 May at 3 pm, we invite you to a workshop for those who want to take the time to listen and explore the connection that exists between different bodies through space and time. No special training or knowledge is required for the workshop, but please register only if you are able to arrive on time and participate for the full duration of the session.
What is the difference between listening and hearing? Can we hear ourselves and each other at the same time? Can listening be enough to feel more firmly part of the world? Can the experience of listening bring us closer not only to other people, but also to non-humans, places and air masses, and maybe even to ourselves? We will try to answer these and probably other questions during the listening workshop and walk with Daina, who listens a lot and makes sounds. She seeks answers to these questions through listening and body practices, weaving them into her creative and research activities and daily life.
The session will last 2.5 hours and will start with an introduction at Kaunas Artists' House. It is recommended to bring water and wear comfortable walking shoes.
Those who want to hear, read, or see where the workshop might go, please
